About Me
I am a qualified Civil and Commercial Mediator based in Dorset, working with businesses, directors, partners and professional advisers across the South of England.
I have spent over 20 years running and advising businesses. I understand the pressures that sit underneath most disputes: cash flow, trust, communication breakdown, missed expectations and relationships that have quietly deteriorated. That experience makes me a more effective mediator.
My role in mediation:
I do not take sides, give legal advice or judge who is right. My role is to create the conditions where a real conversation can happen and a practical, commercially sensible resolution becomes possible.
Relevant Qualifications
CIARB Accredited Mediator — Civil and Commercial
Qualified mediator accredited through the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Registered with the Civil Mediation Council.
CIPD Level 7 (Masters) — Advanced Employment Law in Practice
Masters-level employment law, relevant to workplace and employment-related disputes.
CMI Level 8 (Doctorate) — Strategic Direction and Leadership
Doctorate-level strategic leadership qualification. Relevant to director, partner and senior management disputes.
CMI Level 7 (Masters) — Professional Consulting
Structured consulting methodology at postgraduate level.
Background
I left the Submarine Service in 2002 and have been running my own business since 2004, including periods of significant pressure and failure.
I have studied business continuously since 2010, eventually completing qualifications to doctorate level and several at Masters Level. That combination of lived experience and formal study is the foundation I bring to every mediation.
