Where Real Scars Meet Sharp Thinking

Choosing a mediator is a big step …

I started studying business after going bust between 2008 and 2010. I studied, built, taught and applied business in the real world; sales, marketing, pricing, systems, operations and profit.

My formal qualifications came later. They gave structure and recognition to work I had already been doing for years. That combination matters.

Mediation participants need someone who understands business, not just theory. Someone who knows how to restore control when it starts to slip.

A doctorate-level management qualification focused on senior strategy, leadership and organisational direction. This is your assurance you’re working with a strategic partner whose thinking has been tested at the highest level.

This is the top management qualification offered by the Chartered Management Institute, designed for CEOs, directors and senior leaders responsible for complex, cross-organisational strategy. In practice, this means I’m able to quickly grasp the bigger picture of your business, cut through complexity, and help you design strategies that are not only ambitious but executable.

CIPD L7 (Masters) Advanced Employment Law in Practice

The UK’s new Employment Rights Bill has now turned your workplace into a legal minefield. If you’re still relying on “common sense” or a contract you downloaded in 2019, you’re essentially walking through that minefield in clown shoes.

That is exactly why I secured my Masters-level (CIPD L7) in Advanced Employment Law. You focus on winning the game; I’ll make sure the new rules don’t take you out of it.

CIARB Accredited Mediator

Mediation adds an important dimension to my work with SMEs, directors, leadership teams and professional advisers.

Business pressure is not always caused by poor strategy or weak systems. Sometimes progress is blocked by conflict, damaged communication, commercial tension, workplace issues or disputes that have started to drain time, money and trust.

As a qualified civil and commercial mediator, I help parties step back from entrenched positions and work towards practical, commercially sensible resolution.

CMI Level 7 (Masters) in Professional Consulting

This CMI Level 7 qualification in Professional Consulting (Master’s level) isn’t just another course on my CV; it’s a rigorous, postgraduate consulting programme developed by the Chartered Management Institute in partnership with the Institute of Consulting . It’s specifically designed for practising or aspiring professional consultants who need to deliver real value on real projects for real clients.

For you, this means you’re not just hiring a “coach who consults on the side” – you’re working with a consultant who has been formally trained to operate at a senior, strategic level. I bring structured methods, proven consulting tools and a clear, ethical framework to every engagement, so you get clarity, momentum and tangible results rather than vague recommendations that go nowhere.

CMI Level 7 (Masters)  in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring

My CMI Level 7 qualification in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring (Master’s level) is a postgraduate programme designed for senior leaders who are responsible for developing and embedding coaching and mentoring across an organisation. It goes far beyond basic coaching skills and focuses on the strategic impact of coaching, mentoring policies, organisational culture and leadership capability at scale.

For you, this means you’re working with a coach and mentor who operates at a strategic, leadership level. I bring a structured, evidence‑based approach that supports you (and your senior team) to think more clearly, perform at a higher level and build a culture where coaching, feedback and development are genuinely embedded – not just talked about.

Level 7 (Masters)  in Business Accounting and Finance

My Level 7 qualification in Business Accounting and Finance is more than a credential; it is a foundation in strategic financial leadership designed for the boardroom, not just the back office.

Sitting at the same academic level as a Master’s degree, this training enables me to look beyond the spreadsheet and focus on the real-world drivers of growth, resilience, and stakeholder value.

For you, this means you’re working with a coach / consultant who effectively bridges the gap between high-level strategy and hard numbers.

I help you decode what your financials are actually saying so you can make confident, data-backed decisions on pricing and investment. My goal is to ensure your strategic plans are never just ambitious on paper, but remain viable, profitable, and sustainable in practice.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

As an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, I’m trained to assess how well an organisation’s quality management system really works in practice – not just whether the paperwork is in place. Lead Auditor training focuses on planning, conducting and reporting first, second and third-party audits against ISO 9001, including how to evaluate risks, identify non-conformities, test the effectiveness of corrective actions and lead an audit team.

This means I’m skilled at looking beneath the surface of processes to understand whether they are truly capable, consistent and aligned to customer and regulatory requirements. I know how to use evidence, data and questioning to uncover root causes rather than symptoms, and how to translate audit findings into practical, value-adding improvements.

For you, this means you’re working with someone who can bring rigorous, ISO-standard thinking to your business – helping you strengthen systems, reduce waste and risk, and embed a culture of continuous improvement so quality becomes a competitive advantage, not just a compliance exercise.

A Little About Me

Family is everything to me but getting the right balance between work and family life isn’t always easy. I missed so much of my daughter growing up while I was building my business – I regret that. I can’t get those years back.

I love physical and mental challenges! I have 7 black belts in martial arts and here I did the Brighton Marathon with a 25kg backpack. (I’m the exhausted looking one trailing behind the man-mountain)

After I left the Submarine Service I started working for myself in 2004 in the highly competitive field of carpet cleaning / supply. Lots of competition. Many charging peanuts. I learned how to market my business properly and add value to my services to save me from working for nothing.

I have been studying all things business since I went bust in 2008-2010. I learned about adding value over price, after-sales, strategic direction and so much more.

During Covid I started studying and in 2025 I decided I wanted to help other businesses resolve their disputes before they became a real issue.
